Acer DX900 Mobile Phone

Acer has set foot on the mobile phone land. Acer DX900 2.8” Smartphone Mobile Phone has been packed with the latest features and technologies, which seem to help it strike off well in the market. This is the world’s first dual SIM Windows mobile phone, supporting high-speed 3.5G (HSDPA/UMTS) and 2G (EDGE /GSM). The Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system is used in this smartphone. The applications that are pre-installed in this phone include Microsoft Office Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile, MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player 10, Windows Live, and many more. Bluetooth and WiFi are supported as well. The Samsung S3C 6400 processor with a speed of 533MHz has been employed in this handset. 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM are present too.
The 2.8” TFT colour display of this mobile phone has a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels. Input can be given either using the finger-tip or a stylus. The device measures 106mm by 61mm by 17mm and weighs 147 grams. There is a 3.0 Megapixels camera with auto-focus feature, integrated into this phone. A secondary 0.3 Megapixels camera with fixed-focus is also present in this smartphone. USB 2.0 port and mini-USB port are offered too. A GPS Receiver has been built into this cell phone as well. The SiRF Star III chipset has been embedded in this phone for this purpose. The other features include built-in speaker and microphone, stereo headset jack and hands-free mode. Composite TV output is supported as well. Acer DX900 Touchscreen Mobile Phone, which was named E-TEN Glofiish DX900 initially, before E-TEN was taken over by Acer, seems to be a little on the expensive side. However, being dual-SIM capable and featuring leading edge technologies, this phone seems to be convenient and easy to use.
